Defendants cited and released appear within one judicial day or on the date listed on the citation. When no citation is issued at the scene, the prosecutor may take anywhere from two days to several months to file charges, and the court date notification arrives by mail one to three months after arrest. Missing any scheduled appearance on the Eastside triggers a bench warrant.
